The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival is a 37 day event showcasing over 200 films in the categories of Competition Films, World Films, American Independents, Documentaries, Shorts, Sunshine Celluloid, Children’s Films, Gay and Lesbian Films, and Retrospectives and Tributes. It started yesterday and will carry on till November 15th. There will be a lot of notable events and parties such as the “Dancin’ With the Stars” Gala on Saturday, October 19th at the Signature Grand (a very posh venue).
