I can actually see how this would work. Being that I live in South Florida I am no stranger to the Miami Beach nightlife. Actually I started clubbing down on the beach long before I was of age. One way I got in was because I knew key people whether it was the DJ or the doorman or whoever. Another way was when I used to promote. Back in 2002 I took part in the Annual Memorial Day festivities by going to clubs and setting it up with flyers and promotional items such as CDs posters, etc. Back then it was easy because the door people had know reason to doubt you. They would generally want a CD or two for themselves. Nowadays the beach has changed all the door people have changed. For the most part they seem to be more disciplined. Most of them are of European descent and don’t seem to be fans of American music, especially hip hop (even if it is played in the club). In other words: Different times call for different measures! The guy in the video had to play out his con to the fullest extent from his choice of fashion to props (ex. headphones). The video is very informative and it is a viable way to get in. I haven’t tried it yet, but when I do it won’t be a lie being that I already have most of my DJ equipment already (I’ll save that info for another post).
