Big Anime/Manga Inspired Eyes

As some of you may know, I went to Japan earlier in the summer. The culture is very unique and everyone, young and old are infatuated with cartoons, but wait it gets deeper. Not only are they mesmerized by cartoons, they are equally captivated by the western world, that is why there anime (TV characters) and manga (comic book characters) have eyes that are larger than normal. To my surprise in certain areas of Tokyo, mainly Akiahabra (aka Electric City) and Harajuku, the girls actually dress up like the characters that they somewhat envy. What I am trying to say is that a lot of them look as though they are “Sailor Moon” or someone like that. My friend Christian told me that some Japanese girls actually get cosmetic surgery in order to sustain that look, which is considered a staple of beauty in Japanese society. It is so serious that some girls glue there eyelids. Now there is a product on the market that is said to replace the other methods. The proposed answer are over-sized contact lenses that give the same big, watery eye affect that their native cartoons carry. The contacts contain an extra large outer ring so it appears that the wearer has bigger irises. These contacts are so popular that you can even get them in your prescription and price ranges from $30-$50. Many companies are said to carry the contacts including Dueba, G&G, and Geo, among others.
