This is not the first pair of shoes to the hold the name of a DJ, furthermore, famed Miami Heat DJ, DJ Irie. If my memory serves me correctly he came out with a pair of limited edition Adidas. The only other DJ that I know has their own shoes is Steve Aoki. Anyhoo Irie is set to do it again, this time it is with the brand “Creative Recreation”. Together the collaborated on the Milano Hi. Take note that the colors are synonymous with the colors of the Miami Heat Basketball Team, which Irie DJs for and is apart of. The shoes are a collector’s item, with only 200 being available in the US. They retail for $250, and for good reason I might add, because 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. The Irie Milano Hi will be launched at a red carpet event on December 7th in Miami where Irie and Creative Recreation will present a check for $50,000 to Big Brothers and Big Sisters Charity.
